Denim is the new denim

Hmmm, today I saw someone walking down the high road wearing denim on denim - and not even matching denim. It did not look good. In fact, to be perfectly frank, she looked like she'd gotten dressed in the dark. I know mixing denim is a hot trend for s/s 2010 but I guess the trend is just not for me. It looks so eighties (and not in a good way). Denim will always be for me either the statement jeans, or the statement jacket - not both!
